West Indies v South Africa - 1992 World Test Championship - 3rd Round - South Africa 2nd Innings

West Indies v South Africa - 1992 World Test Championship - 3rd Round - Antigua

South Africa lost Rushmere 1st ball, but a 152 run partnership between Hudson and Wessels for the 2nd wicket seemed to be taking South Africa to a draw.
With West Indies slow over rate combining with a moderate run rate, the run chase was never on, and South Africa contented themselves with trying to survive.
Patterson broke the stand, dismissing Hudson 68 and Wessels 78 in an inspired spell.
Ambrose and Walsh steadily worked their way through the rest, but West Indies eventually ran out of time, their slow over rate and gritty late order batting by the South Africans combining to leave the match drawn.
Kuiper was Man of the Match, his spectactular assault keeping the South Africans in the game in the first innings, and then soaking up time with a handy innings in the second.
