New Zealand v India - 1992 World Test Championship - 3rd Round - Christchurch

A strong Indian batting lineup was expected to find a victory target of 112 in good batting conditions no challenge, and duly cruised to victory, polishing off an 8 wicket victory with over 2 days to spare.
Srikkanth found some form in an unbeaten innings, but otherwise the innings featured few highlights as the crowd's interest slowly faded in the game.
Raju was Man of the Match in an excellent team performance by India, his innings of 44 giving India a vital first innings lead after his first day 3-7 had ensured New Zealand were never let off the hook.
Kapil Dev had also bowled well, taking 7 wickets for the match, and was well backed up by Srinath in the first innings, and Prabhakar in the second.
India claimed 20 points for the victory, while New Zealand claimed 4.
