1992 World Test Championship - Australia v Pakistan - 2nd Round - Match Summary

Australia v Pakistan - 1992 World Test Championship - 2nd Round - Perth

Despite a first innings 6-47 to Wasim Akram, reducing Australia to 186/9 in their first innings, the home team ran out comfortable victors in this important clash between two first round winners.
Australia went top of the table with West Indies after a massive 310 run win, set up by the allround brilliance of Shane Warne, and the batting of Mark Waugh.
Warne picked up his 2nd Man of the Match award in 2 games in a dominant performance, a spell of 5-8 at one stage reducing Pakistan to a 91/6 in their first innings.
Pakistan's batting again failed them, as none of their batsmen reached 50 in either innings in another disappointing performance.
