New Zealand v India - 1992 World Test Championship - 3rd Round - New Zealand 1st Innings

New Zealand v India - 1992 World Test Championship - Round 3 - Christchurch

New Zealand started badly, losing Wright and Jones for ducks, and never recovered, being bundled out for 79 in the lowest total of the tournament so far.
The underrated Indian attack had excelled themselves on a pitch which offered them some assistance, but was not the minefield the New Zealand batsman made it appear.
Seamers Kapil Dev and Javagal Srinath finished with 3 wickets apiece, while left arm spinner Raju backed them up with a miserly 3-7 off 8 overs to ensure the New Zealanders couldn't recover.
With the pitch still Green, New Zealand needed early wickets to get back into a game that already seemed lost at Lunch on the first day.
