West Indies v India - 1992 World Test Championship - 2nd Round - West Indies 1st Innings

West Indies v India - 1992 World Test Championship - 2nd Round - Trinidad

West Indies won the toss, and batted first, losing the struggling Simmons for a duck early.
Lara joined Haynes, and raced to 27 at a run a ball, before some good fielding by Vengsarkar saw Lara run out at the non strikers end.
This seemed to unsettle the West Indian batsmen, and though a few made starts, they lost wickets steadily, reaching 146/5.
David Williams then joined Adams in an innings turning partnership, Williams making 59 as the pair added 117 for the 6th wicket.
Adams carried on to 108, before being last out with the total on 311, a handy recovery.
Kapil Dev and Srinath were the pick of the Indian attack with 3 wickets apiece.
Adams continues to impress, having now posted match turning hundreds in both his appearances.
