Australia v England - 1992 World Test Championship - 3rd Round - Melbourne Cricket Ground
Australia came from behind to record a well deserved victory over a plucky but ultimately luckless England side.
Australia were dismissed for a disappointing 192 in the first innings as the England seamers enjoyed themselves on a green pitch.
After England recorded a first innings lead of 72, Australian captain Allan Border promoted himself to number 4 in the second innings and scored a brilliant century under pressure, the only hundred of a match played in generally difficult batting conditions.
England needed 206 to win, and after recovering from the loss of two wickets to McDermott in their first over, were on course until a wearing pitch and the whiles of Shane Warne eventually proved too much for them.
Australia ran out winners by 47 runs in the end, though England at least gained some consolation with an extra 4 points for a first innings lead.
