Cairns kept New Zealand in the game briefly with his second 6 wicket haul of the season in a losing cause.
Raju was Man of the Match, his first innings 44 helping to add 54 for the last wicket with Srinath and double the Indian lead, after his first day 3-7 had completed the rout.
