1992 World Test Championship - West Indies v India - 2nd Round - Match Preview

West Indies v India - 1992 World Test Championship - 2nd Round - Trinidad

This promises to be a blockbuster between two first round winners, the contest between the strong Indian batting lineup and the West Indies pace attack being a particularly interesting encounter.
West Indies have some good batsmen of their own, but a few weaknesses the steady Indian attack might be able to exploit.
Teams are unchanged from their first match, with the Indian lineup again featuring 4 seamers, backed up by allrounder Shastri's left arm spin.

Pitch: 77 - Very much a ‘home’ pitch prepared for the enjoyment of the fast bowlers and the           discomfort of all batsmen. This is a rock hard surface, promising a fast and high bounce. Both runs and wickets are likely to come quickly and expect the top quality pace bowlers to reap a rich harvest.

P.V.Simmons, D.L.Haynes, B.C.Lara, R.B.Richardson (c), K.L.T.Arthurton, J.C.Adams, D.Williams (wk), C.E.L.Ambrose, K.C.G.Benjamin, C.A.Walsh, B.P.Patterson
