New Zealand v Pakistan - 1992 World Test Championship - 1st Round - Pakistan 1st Innings

New Zealand v Pakistan - 1992 World Test Championship - 1st Round - Wellington

The Pakistani team never came to grips with the New Zealand seam attack, tumbling to be all out for 213..
At one stage it threatened to be much worse, but handy contributions from the tail and a last wicket partnership of 44 between Saleem Jaffer and Aaqib Javed gave Pakistan 1 batting point.
With Pakistan 236 behind on first innings, New Zealand declined to enforce the follow on, as their seamers were exhausted.
Cairns had been magnificent, taking 6-71 on a pitch which was now Normal.
A few Pakistani batsmen made starts, but with wickets tumbling regularly, none threatened permanence in a very disappointing performance.
