Pakistan 'B' began their pursuit of 238 for victory positively, before losing both openers with the score on 34.
Qasim Omar then joined Atif Rauf in a partnership which turned the match.
Qasim reached 50, and with the target become a definite possibility, elected to Look For Runs after reaching his landmark in an effort to keep touching with the scoring rate required.
Qasim was bowled by Anurasiri for 63, with left arm spinner on the way to a 10 wicket match haul.
Asif Mujtaba then joined Atif Rauf, and the pair moved up through the gears after Rauf had reached 50.
By the end of the innings the batsmen were in Hitting Out Mode, and with 34 required from 6 overs it seemed the tourists had the game in the bag.
A succession of wild swings failed to connect as the Sri Lankan bowlers tightened the noose, and in the end the game visitors had finished just 5 runs short, on 233/7.
This left the match Drawn, with the Man of the Match award going to Anurasiri for his 10 wicket match haul.
