Sri Lanka v England - 1992 World Test Championship - 5th Round - Kandy

Lead by a magnificent 277 by captain Graham Gooch, England easily accounted for Sri Lanka in their 5th Round match in Kandy.
Sri Lanka batted first, and despite 84 to Gurusinha, could only post 226 in their first innings.
England replied strongly, with Gooch dominating the scoring throughout his innings until he was last out.
Lead by Hathurasinghe with 130, and Kaluwitharana with 80, Sri Lanka batted better second time round but could only set England 63 for victory.
England polished off the runs without loss to complete an emphatic 10 wicket victory.
