Australia 'B' began their innings well, with the out of form Mark Taylor and partner Mike Veletta putting on 51 for the 1st wicket.
After posting 103 in his 1st First Class Innings of the tour, Mark Taylor had scored just 10 runs in 5 First Class Innings, including a pair in the 1st Unofficial Test.
The young NSW opener would have welcomed the return to form, but it was a brief respite, and 87/3 Australia 'B' had work to do.
Greg Ritchie dug in to post a solid 56, and with Wellham, standing in as captain for the injured O'Donnell, continuing his excellent form with 98.
The lower order and tail wagged, as last wicket pair Craig McDermott 44* and Tim May 30 frustrated the home team by adding an untroubled 66 for the last wicket to take the total beyond 400.
Sikander Bakht took 3-83, and Aamer Sohail 2-25, but overall the bowling was poor, and the home team conceded a first innings lead of 189.
