Sri Lanka 'B' v Pakistan 'B' - 2nd Unofficial Test (4 days) - 1986/7 - Pakistan 'B' 1st Innings

Sri Lanka 'B' v Pakistan 'B' - 2nd Unofficial Test (4 days) - P.Saravanamattu Stadium, Colombo - 1986/7

Though most of the top order got settled and reached 20 or 30, only Aamer Sohail went on to reach 50 in a disappointing performance by the Pakistan 'B' side.\\
Manzoor Elahi again departed for a duck as is becoming his trademark in a boom or bust season with the bat. Yet to live up to his allrounder status with the bat, Elahi has constantly placed the lower order under pressure with his continued failings.
Opening bowler Vinothen John was excellent for the home side in taking 4-48 off 30 tight overs, conceding just 1.6 runs per over.
Allrounders Samarasekera and Asoka de Silva offered good support with 2 wickets each.
Sohail top scored with a well made 64, but given that most of the batsmen made it to 20 easily enough, an eventual total of 274 was very disappointing.
Sri Lanka 'B' took a first innings lead of 156, with Pakistan 'B' requiring a small miracle to get back into the match.
