Pakistan Test and ODI tour of Zimbabwe - 1985/6 - Tour Preview
I decided I want some continuity with the players I am using, so am continuing along with mostly Pakistani matches from the mid 80's for now.
After some thought I decided Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe in August 1985/6 for a 3 Test tour.
The tour will also feature 5 ODI's, 3 warmup 3 day matches, and 3 warmup 50 over matches.
Zimbabwe didn't have Test status until 1992, but I decided to grant them Test status for this series retrospectively.
It is a ficticious tour featuring the squads used at the time drawn from players officially carded.
Pakistan were a strong team in 1985/6, but many future Test players had made their First Class and List A debuts for Zimbabwe by this stage, so I can draw up a pretty effective Zimbabwean squad.
Graeme Hick was still playing for Zimbabwe in 1985/6, so I am letting him get his first taste of Test cricket for his country of birth.
