I'm pausing my World Test Championship because I feel like experimenting with lower rated players playing First Class and List A level matches.
I wanted to see what sort of statistics some of the lower rated or fringe players at the time could produce against eachother away from the pressure of full international competition.
I decided I will continue to use only officially carded players for my replay.
I will be using IC Helper to help simulate the matches.
A 14 man Australia 'B' squad will tour Pakistan in October 1986/7 for a series of First Class and List A tour matches.
The squad features players who were either on the fringe of selection for the Australian team at the time, or who had made their first class debuts in 1986/7 or before and would go on to represent Australia later in their careers.
The squad features a number of players yet to make their Test debuts, and will be lead by experienced one day allrounder Simon O'Donnell, supported by vice captain Dirk Wellham.
