Pakistan 'B' tour of Sri Lanka - 1986/7 - Tour News

Pakistan 'B' tour of Sri Lanka - 1986/7 - Tour News

With batsman Ijaz Ahmed and legspinner Mushtaq Ahmed struggling to overcome niggling injuries ahead of the 3 Day tour match against the Sri Lanka Board President's XI, the Pakistan 'B' tour management have called for reinforcements.
Flown in to take their place in the lineup for the 3 Day match preceding the 1st Unofficial One Day International are batsman Atif Rauf, and 16 year old left arm spinner Nadeem Khan.
The inexperienced nature of both players means neither are expected to play a major part in the Unofficial Internationals, but the pair will gain valuable experience from the tour games.
Mushtaq Ahmed and Ijaz Ahmed have been retained in the squad, with both expected to make recoveries at some stage during the tour.
