It was a largely successful tour for the young Australia 'B' team, with their only defeats coming in the 3-2 loss in the Unofficial One Day International series.
Sweeping the Unofficial Tests 3-0 was the highlight of the tour, as a number of young players emerged with strong credentials.
Player of the tour was the rehabilitated Greg Ritchie, sent to Pakistan as punishment for a bad attitude midway through the tour along with Craig McDermott, he responded in the First Class posting 3 centuries, 2 half centuries, and a First Class average of 152.00.
Tom Moody impressed, posting 3 centuries in all matches, and bowling his seamers tidily and fielding well.
Mark Waugh and Dirk Wellham were also in form, and the Australians rarely struggled for runs.
Openers Mark Taylor and Mike Veletta lost form after starting well, before injury ruled both out of the final Unofficial Test to end disappointing tours.
Taylor averaged 20.56 in the First Class matches, but did better in the 50 Over games, while for Veletta it was the reverse.
Veletta averaged a respectable 33.33 in the First Class matches but tended to leave his best batting outside the Unofficial Internationals.
Keeper Greg Dyer performed well, scoring handy runs and generally keeping tidily.
Allrounder Simon O'Donnell had a good tour, averaging 35.17 with the bat in the First Class matches with two half centuries and a top of 96, and taking 8 wickets at 32.28 with a best of 3-38.
Legspinning allrounder Peter Sleep struggled for opportunities and his best work came with the ball in the warm up games.
Offspinner Peter Taylor bowled impressively after a tough start in the 50 Over games, and finished the tour as the leading spinner ahead of Tim May who bowled well without much luck.
Swing bowling allrounder Tony Dodemaide had a tour to remember and finished as the leading wicket taker, bowling with impressive economy in the 50 over games, and also added handy runs batting at number 8.
Established fast bowling trio of McDermott, Whitney and Hughes had their moments, with McDermott picking up two 5 wicket hauls to show selectors he is ready to play a part in the Ashes should he be picked.
Fast bowler Dave Gilbert was the disappointment among the bowlers, though he tried hard and contributed on occasion.

Greg Ritchie was the outstanding player of the tour, averaging 152.00 in the First Class matches.
