With Zimbabwe following on 319 runs behind, the only victory they could hope for from here would be to force Sri Lanka to bat again.
On a wearing pitch it was a difficult ask, and wasn't to be, Zimbabwe perishing in their 2nd innings for just 206.
Campbell with 74, and Houghton 76, took Zimbabwe to a respectable 160/3, but they were the only two batsmen to post double figures in another disappointing effort.
Anurasiri was again the best of the bowlers, taking 4-55 to finish with 9-117 for the match, while the seamers also enjoyed themselves, looking a threat for the first time in the season.
Sri Lanka took an important 23 points from the match, keeping them in touch with the leaders after a slow start, while Zimbabwe took a disappointing 3.
Man of the Match was Sri Lankan captain Aravinda de Silva for his monumental career best 319.
